St Mary’s College - Sunbury Campus
In partnership with Salesian College Sunbury
Our newest St Mary’s campus began this year in partnership with Salesian College in Sunbury. The spacious grounds (over 1000 acres) includes the superb Victorian mansion built by Sir William Clarke and named for his son, Rupert in 1874. The Campus is set in the magnificent and historically significant grounds and allows our students to enjoy many educational and sporting resources within this beautiful and peaceful context. The curriculum offers a balanced and challenging study of all Key Learning Areas in Years 7 to 9 and the opportunity for students to study a wide range of courses and pathways in Years 10 to 12.
Individual Learning Plans are provided for all students focusing on, though not limited to Literacy, Speech and Listening, personal and social management skills. The Sunbury campus has access to 12 classrooms with operational soundfield systems and FM usage is encouraged by all staff. There are regular visits by audiologists from Australian Hearing and if required the annual review can be conducted during one of these visits.
The College, being situated on a fully operational farm, offers VET programs which are designed to increase options for the future. They allow students the opportunity to study approved vocational education and training courses while also completing their VCE. VET programs provide successful students with a nationally recognised certificate, the opportunity to work in an industry setting, advanced entry into an apprenticeship, increased awareness of education and training opportunities and skills transferable to other areas of work. VET courses offered include:
- Sports and Recreation
External programs such as Equine Industry, Food Retail, Multimedia and Community Service are also available.
At our St Mary’s Sunbury Campus, we hope that students feel a sense of belonging, connection and ownership; a place where they care and respect each other, are accepted for who they are and likewise accept those around them.
